Newcastle Transfers: 5 Signings Joe Kinnear Needs To Win Over Toon Fans

1. Loic Remy

Another Frenchman Newcastle could sign is Loic Remy. Remy only joined QPR from Marseille in January this year and enjoyed a relatively successful debut season, scoring 6 goals in 14 appearances. But the Hoops were relegated from the topflight and the 26-year-old isn't keen to hang around in the lower reaches of English football. The forward ensured a €œrelegation release clause€ was built into his contract at Loftus Road which will allow him to leave for just £6 million, making him a relative bargain. Today, Pardew confirmed his interest in the forward, and if he can convince Kinnear to push through with a move, he would be significantly improving his forward line. Pardew came close to signing the Frenchman in January before he instead opted to sign for Harry Redknapp's side. He faces stiff competition this time round, too, as Remy is also being tracked by Arsenal as well as Liverpool and Spurs. Who do you think Joe Kinnear should sign this summer? Can he still win over the fans? Let us know in the comment section, below.
