2. Jeroen Zoet
A less high profile transfer but an important one nonetheless. Jeroen Zoet is a 22 year old Dutch goalkeeper currently at PSV.
Sky Sports report that Newcastle have been in talks for the stopper for a good while now and are hoping to tie up a £2.5 million deal Zoet has spent the last two seasons out on loan at RKC Waalwijk and he has been extremely impressive. Zoet is the first choice goalkeeper for the Dutch U21 team and has even and has been in the full Dutch squad. At just 22, Zoet is very much seen as one for the future on Tyneside and would play a role as third choice behind Tim Krul and Rob Elliot. Zott may not be a priority with the first team still needing to be strengthend but with the price being as low as it is for the youngster it cant hurt to have as many talented younger players at the club as possible.
