Newcastle United Transfers: Every Graham Carr Signing Ranked Worst To Best

37. Curtis Good

Signed From: Melbourne Heart

Signed as part of Newcastle's attempts to build a commercial presence in Australia - and to take advantage of an untapped market of talent - Curtis Good has so far failed to break into the first team picture. He's been farmed out on loan to both Bradford and Dundee, playing sparingly and his only notable appearance for Newcastle came in the humiliating defeat to Oxford in the FA Cup.

He looks destined to leave without ever playing a league game for the Magpies, and it wouldn't be at all unjust.

36. Remy Cabella

Signed From: Montpellier

In the wake of Hatem Ben Arfa's departure from Newcastle, it seemed the Magpies were on the look-out for a direct replacement. Their first attempt brought lightweight Frenchman Remy Cabella, who went on to score one goal and earn one Player Of The Month award.

That's actually a remarkable record for a player who looked allergic to physical contact, and who was badly unsuited to the rigours of the English game. Yes he was fast and tricky, but his backside spent more time on the grass than the bottom of his boots did.

35. Olivier Kemen

Signed From: Metz

Signed as a French prospect, Olivier Kemen was no more than a youth team player at Newcastle, and while it looked like we'd missed out on a real prospect when he signed for Lyon, there was absolutely no hint that he was suited to making a push for the Newcastle first team.
