There have been doubts over Toure's fitness in the build up to Sunday's clash but the Ivorian powerhouse is expected to shake off an ankle knock sustained in the annihilation of West Ham. Many teams have been blown away by Toure's sheer strength this season, failing to cope with his marauding runs from the centre of midfield. City greatly rely on Toure's presence away from home and he has contributed five league goals on the road this term. Tiote has returned to something near his best form this season and if the Magpies are to emerge victorious then it is vital that their hard tackling number 24 wins the physical battle against his international team mate. He will know Toure's game inside out and if he can produce the high intensity performance he delivered against Man Utd, then Newcastle have every chance of taking a point.
Likely Line Ups
Newcastle: Krul, Yanga-Mbiwa, S Taylor, Williamson, Haidara, Sissoko, Tiote, Cabaye, Anita, Gouffran, Remy Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov, Nasri, Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Silva, Dzeko, Negredo Likely Result Goals are guaranteed but with Newcastle expected to name a makeshift defence, The Citizen's attacking threat is likely to be too much for Pardew's men. 1-3 Stats courtesy of ESPN
