NFL Draft 2013: Full Mock Draft Of The First Round

No. 18: Dallas Cowboys

Dallas CowboysThe pick: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina The Cowboys have needs all over the place, especially since they have had back-to-back 8-8 seasons and have lost the NFC East title in the final week of said seasons. The team finally gave Tony Romo the contract extension he's been waiting for, making a huge commitment to him for a very long time, thus, eliminating them from needing a quarterback like Geno Smith or Matt Barkley. So the next best thing, draft guys who will protect such investment, which means get a guard. If Chance Warmack is available, he would be a solid pick for Dallas, but with him being take by the Rams, the next best option is Cooper. Cooper's natural position is guard, although he can play some center if needed. But at guard is where Dallas would want him. Dallas will likely look to the other rounds for a safety or defensive tackle and take Cooper in round 1.
