NFL Draft 2020: 13 Biggest Picks You NEED To Know

1. Quarterback - Jordan Love

Round 1: Pick 26

Few things in life are guaranteed: Death, taxes, and LSU's Joe Burrow getting drafted #1 by the Cincinnati Bengals. To a lesser degree, it was no surprise that the Miami Dolphins and the LA Chargers would take Tue Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert respectively.

Jordan Love out of Utah State was considered the next quarterback off the board, whether he would fall out of round one was anybody's guess. The next possible QB-needy teams came in the form of Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New England Patriots. Everyone went in different directions with New England trading out of the first round even.

The biggest shock of the draft easily was Green Bay moving up to pick 26 to take Love. Green Bay already has Super Bowl XLV winning QB Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay was expected to utilize the draft to surround Rodgers with talent in the skill positions having nearly reached last year's Super Bowl.

Not only was it a shock that the Packers drafted Rodgers' presumed successor, it was also a head-scratching move to trade up from pick 30 to get Love. After New England traded away the 23rd pick, the next six teams were already set at the quarterback position.

The Love pick has potential to change the entire league if it's decided that he's ready to start before Rodgers is ready to give up the job. First round quarterbacks rarely ride the bench for long, the last one to sit for more than a single season was Rodgers himself.
