Norwich City: 5 Reasons Canaries Should Keep Faith In Chris Hughton

5. Home Record Shows Some Promise

Of course at this stage in the season, the only thing that is worth talking about is if the club will survive in the league or not. We know that the Canaries don€™t travel particularly well with just two away wins all season, only Stoke and Cardiff have won fewer games on the road. The fact that the team has conceded 28 away goals is a concern, as only Fulham have leaked more. Therefore, it seems fair to assume that if Norwich are to survive then they will have to do it in their own backyard. The club€™s current home record is four wins, five draws and four defeats from their 13 games; they have struggled to score goals with just 11, but they have also been fair efficient at keeping them out with 11 conceded. Overall, they have the 13th best home record in the league. Last season, the team performed well at home with a final record of eight wins, seven draws and four defeats from their 19 games; they also scored 25 goals and conceded 20. I think it€™s fair to say that if the Canaries can secure a similar home record this season, then it€™s highly likely that they will be safe. This campaign three of the team€™s four home wins have come by a 1-0 margin, and that should be the strategy to get out of trouble. The games to come at Carrow Road against Stoke, Sunderland and West Brom are likely to crucial in the club€™s quest to stay in the league €“ and if they can win all three, survival is likely to be achieved.
