Norwich City: 5 Reasons Defence Can Save Them From The Drop
5. Only 11 Goals Conceded At Home This Season
Norwich City are very much a home side with five of their seven league wins coming at Carrow Road this season. I think one of the big reasons that they are able to get results at home better than away is because they tend to keep in tight at the back. Overall, Norwich have the 11th best home record in the Premier League; an impressive statistic for a team that have been fighting relegation for much of the season. They have also only conceded 11 goals at home in 14 games, which is the fifth best record in the Premier League; only Everton, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal have conceded less at home. Its certainly a contrast to their record away which shows 32 goals conceded from 14 games, which is the worst record in the league. I think Norwich know that they are going to have to get the job done in home games; this is generally what they have done all season and is also what they did last season. The good news for fans is the team seems to have what it takes to get over the line at Carrow Road. The only slight concern is poor away displays puts more pressure on those must-win home games, and pressure does funny things to people.
