Norwich City Transfers: 5 Strikers To Cover For Ricky Van Wolfswinkel
4. Jordan Rhodes
Jordan Rhodes would not exactly be a new name to most football fans. Its a surprise to me though that a Premier League club hasnt taken a punt on him before now but that may partly be due to Blackburns desire to retain their star striker. Its well documented the type of money available at the Championship team so its not simply a case of making a sizeable offer. You would think that Rhodes is starting to get itchy feet and will want to test himself at Premier League level before long. This season he is just trailing McCormack with 16 league goals to his name. The one thing that we can say about Rhodes is his ability is fairly well established through playing for Huddersfield Town and Blackburn, so the risk level is relatively low. However, he hasnt played at Premier League level so we simply cant say for sure how well he would do, but he has a healthy shots per game ratio of 2.8 and he is a player that it might be worth Norwich taking a gamble on. The fact that he is only 23, and started senior career at Ipswich means there are plenty of good reasons to make a move.
