Age: 22 Club: Rennes Nationality: French Estimated market value: £9million League apps (2014-15): 24 League goals (2014-15): 8 As is so often the case with Newcastle United, the search turns towards France - and to Rennes' exciting young forward Paul-Georges Ntep. The Cameroon-born France Under-21 striker moved to Rennes from Auxerre in January 2014 and has really taken Ligue 1 by storm this campaign. Eight goals in 24 league appearances is not a bad return for a player who can be deployed anywhere across the front three - especially not at the age of 22. Ntep has blistering pace and loves a trick or two - but he backs that up by consistently producing an end product in the form of an assist or a goal. It would be an ambitious move if Newcastle were to pip other clubs to Ntep's signature, but chief scout Graham Carr will definitely have him high up on the wish list.
