PFA's Probable Team Of The Season 2019/20
1. Goalkeeper - Alisson
Sheffield United's Dean Henderson deserves an honorable mention here for the season he's had, and some may even rank him above Alisson for the league's best goalkeeper thus far, but the Liverpool shotstopper has been statistically better and had a bigger impact on his side.
In 20 games that he has started, Liverpool have maintained 12 clean sheets whereas in the nine games without him, the Reds have kept just two. Furthermore, they tend to concede 0.88 goals per game without him compared to only 0.55 when Alisson is between the sticks.
That's how instrumental the Brazilian is to Jurgen Klopp's machinations. He also leads in terms of save percentage, has shown tremendous speed and sense of timing, and can also play the ball from the back super quickly, as exemplified by Alisson's assist to Salah against Manchester United.
Quite simply, there's no better goalkeeper than the former Roma star right now.
