Premier League: 10 January Transfers That Make Sense
6. Swansea To Sign Tom Ince
Swansea are reportedly in talks to sign Blackpool winger Tom Ince this week and are primed to see off south Wales rivals Cardiff in landing the youngster. The ex-Liverpool academy star was one of the stand-out players in the Championship last season, netting 18 league goals for the Tangerines and has also managed seven strikes in 19 outings this term. His exploits saw him named Football League Young Player of the Year for 2013 and put a series of clubs on alert, but Swansea appear favourites to secure his services. Which makes sense, given that Pablo Hernandez could be set for a lengthy spell in the treatment room after injuring his hamstring in the defeat to Manchester City on New Year's Day. Ince, who can also play attacking midfield, could even fill in for the still-injured Michu, who is out for the rest of the month with an ankle injury.
