Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts
4. Yohan Cabaye To PSG, £20 million
Newcastle rejected a £14 million bid for Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain last Sunday with the French club's manager, Laurent Blanc, publicly stating he is keen on the midfielder. The offer was rebuffed, however PSG are expected to come back with an improved bid that could come somewhere close to £20 million, Newcastle's valuation of the Frenchman. The Magpies had to fend off interest in Cabaye in the last window, when Arsenal made a £10 million offer for the star only for that also to be rejected. The 28-year-old went on strike and refused to play when it became apparent he would not be sold to the Gunners, but later backtracked and apologised to his side's fans. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the player kicks up a similar fuss if it turns out he has his heart set on playing for the French champions and contesting the Champions League.
