Premier League Transfers: What All 20 Teams Need In The Winter Window

Arsenal

What do they need? A centre back, arguably another holding midfield player and at least one forward. Arsene Wenger's priority should be defence and attack. Linked with: Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Alvaro Morata (all Real Madrid), Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle), Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid), Antoine Griezmann (Real Sociedad), Youssouf Mulumbu (West Bromwich Albion), Loic Remy (Newcastle, on loan from QPR), Fabian Schar (Basel), Kurt Zouma (Saint-Etienne). Who we'd like to see at the Emirates: Diego Costa, Fabian Schar and Kurt Zouma.
Atletico Madrid leading man Costa would fit the Gunners like a glove leading the line and in turn give Olivier Giroud a much-needed break. Of all the strikers linked with joining up with Wenger in this window, he's the one that has delivered most often. Costa will not come cheap though. Basel's Swiss defensive star Schar meanwhile is proficient at set pieces. His arrival would add an extra dimension to Arsenal as the opposition would have more than just giant German Per Mertesacker to contend with. Man mountain Zouma would offer extra physicality at the back. Compatriots of Wenger like Benzema and Remy are destined to be linked with transfers to Arsenal. The French flavour is not as strong as it once was mind. Pundits are unanimous that the Premier League leaders must buy to maintain their current station.
