4. Maicon
I know what you're thinking, "Since when did Maicon play in the Premier League? This is exactly what I thought, until I found out that in the summer for a fee of around £3.5 million,
Maicon joined Manchester City on a permanent contract from Serie A's Inter Milan. So un-influential and anonymous have been his performances in a City shirt, that people actually forget he plays for the club at all. At Inter Milan he was considered one of, if not the best right back in the world, and his game was a perfect formula of attacking vigour and skilful defensive positioning. I use the word "was," because from his disappointing performances at the Etihad, those traits seem now to be defunct. Maicon has only played 5 games in the Premier League this season and such were the poor performances he put in to those games he is now firmly 3rd choice right back, behind Micah Richards and Argentine Pablo Zabaleta. In fact, Maicon hasn't been seen at all in all competitions since early December and it is rumoured that Mancini wants him to return to his old club Inter in this window, after only five months at the club.
