7. Nuri Sahin
Earlier this summer, an intense transfer saga emerged between Arsenal and Liverpool, to try and capture the services of Turkish superstar, Nuri Sahin on loan from Real Madrid. After Sahin opted to play his football at Anfield this season, Arsenal were understandably gutted. However, perhaps they wouldn't have been so gutted if they had seen some of Sahin's early season performances for Liverpool. Sahin was expected to, along with Gerrard, be the creative mind behind Liverpool's attacking play and push the team towards the Champions League places, however, Sahin has only made 7 Premier League appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal and only making one assist. His performances have been labelled by fans and critics alike as lazy and lethargic, and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was quick to spot Sahin's poor displays, and actually sent him off to Borussia Dortmund to see off the rest of his year long loan.
The 24-year-old returned to the German club on loan earlier this January meaning that Sahin was only at Liverpool for 5 months.
