QPR Transfer News: Junior Hoilett Agrees Deal
Junior Hoilett has agreed a deal to join Mark Hughes' Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer.
Sky Sources are reporting that Junior Hoilett has agreed a deal to join Mark Hughes' Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer. The 22-year-old joins the London club after rejecting a contract extension offer at former club Blackburn Rovers, who last season were relegated to the Championship. Earlier this week Blackburn had suggested that they had offered Hoilett a fantastic deal, although he turned down the chance to continuing playing for the club and began searching for a return to the Premier League. The Canadian international winger/forward had caught the eye of a number clubs, namely North East rivals Newcastle United and Sunderland but his high wage demands were ultimately off putting. The deal bringing Hoilett to Loftus Road is expected to be confirmed on Friday and he joins Andrew Johnson, Fabio, Robert Green and Park Ji-sung as new recruits. More on this story as it develops.
