4. Danny Welbeck Is Coming Good

Danny Welbeck is another Manchester United player who has frequently come in for criticism at Old Trafford. He has only featured sporadically for United this term and has quite often found himself joining Javier Hernandez on the bench and unable to oust Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as Ferguson's preferred attacking partnership. But last night he reminded everyone just what he is capable of when he got on the end of a pin-point Wayne Rooney corner to head the ball past stand-in Real keeper Diego Lopez after 20 minutes to give the Red Devils what could yet prove to be a crucial away goal. At just 22, Welbeck is a player who is still maturing and needs time to develop, but last night proved he could yet realise his potential as a great striker.
