3. Manchester United v Chelsea (21/05/2008)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvOpupa5WpI This may not be Ronaldos most spectacular goal but it was certainly one of his most important. Much had been made of Ronaldo before the Champions League final, would he live up to his superstar billing or be kept at bay by the formidable Chelsea defence? In true fashion Ronaldo defied the critics, scoring a typically un Ronaldo like goal in the process. United won a throw-in by the corner flag and, after a neat one-two with Paul Scholes, Wes Brown crossed the ball into the box. Ronaldo leapt higher then the flat-footed Essien and slammed his header into the bottom corner. When Manchester United signed Cristiano in 2003 the idea of the Portuguese winger scoring a header in the Champions League final was unthinkable, this goal showed how Ronaldo had evolved from a tricky winger to the complete player.
