11. Ayoze Perez - 6 (Replaced By Rolando Aarons After 46 Minutes)
Played out wide left in the three behind lone striker Papiss Cisse in a 4-2-3-1 formation, Perez looked isolated at times, and constantly attempted to drift into the centre. His dogged determination did create a decent chance for Georginio Wijnaldum in the first-half, but Perez has struggled for inspiration in pre-season so far. Hooked at half-time, Perez is desperate for a goal to boost his confidence so he can continue where he left off last season.
Rolando Aarons - 6.5
It's perhaps unfair to expect Aarons to be spectacular in every single game but, after his brilliant brace and assist against Portland Timbers 2 in midweek, the 2,000-strong travelling Newcastle fans expected genius once again from the youngster. Unfortunately for Aarons he was restricted due to the fact his Magpies teammates won him so little ball to work with, although he did attack well done the left on a few occasions, putting a couple of dangerous crosses into the box. Aarons also offered Newcastle far more width that Perez did in the first-half, and even switched over to the right when Gabriel Obertan came on.
