Christian Eriksen was the one true success story of Spurs' seven new signings last summer. The Danish international joined from Ajax in an £11.5 million deal that turned out to be an absolute steal, as he truly impressed with his vision, flair, creativity and goalscoring ability in his first season in English football. He scored ten goals - seven of which came in his 23 Premier League starts and three of which came in his four European starts - and he won the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Player of the Year award. He's an automatic first choice for Spurs and if he can emulate, or even improve on, last season's performances, Spurs will have a very important player on their hands in their quest for Champions League football this season - starting at West Ham on the opening day.
