Spurs New Manager: 10 Replacements For Tim Sherwood

4. Roberto Martinez

Former Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has undoubtedly enhanced his reputation this season, having replaced David Moyes as manager of Everton when the Scotsman joined Manchester United. Indeed, Martinez took Everton to the dizzy heights of fifth in the Premier League - two places above his predecessor's new club - and did the double over Manchester United in the process. Martinez's final season with Wigan was an eventful one to say the least. The Latics were relegated, but won the FA Cup, and the Spaniard had done enough to convince a team of Everton's standing that he was the man to replace Moyes. His emphasis on passing and attacking has brought a new level of optimism to Goodison Park and the club only narrowly missed out on Champions League football in his first season at the helm. He has been linked with a move to Spurs, though whether he would consider it a step upwards - given that Spurs finished below his Everton side - is open to debate. Spurs could certainly offer him more money though, so it could be too tempting an offer to turn down if they come calling.
