Spurs Transfer News: Real Madrid Reserve No 11 Shirt For Gareth Bale

Mirror. The PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year is set to earn a fortune after trademarking his unique goal celebration known as the €˜Eleven Of Hearts€™ and the Spanish giants, who are already describing Bale as €˜The Eleventh Galactico€™, will allow him to continue his money-spinning ploy at the Bernabeu next season. The flying Welshman is set to net over £10 million-per-year in endorsements from the celebration alone and has been linked with a huge £85 million move to the Spanish capital this summer. Real's No.11 shirt is currently vacant, as it was last worn by defender Ricardo Carvalho, who recently completed a transfer to Monaco. Reserving the shirt number for the 23-year old is viewed as just the latest tactic in a series of attempts to butter the winger up. Last week, Bale's ex-Spurs teammate Luka Modric insisted the Welshman would €œgive Real Madrid another dimension€, while Real president Florentino Perez claimed Bale was €œborn€ to play for them. Perez€™s comments were echoed by Real defender Sergio Ramos, who insisted Bale was a €œReal Madrid-quality signing.€ Clearly, the deposed Spanish champions have embarked on a huge charm offensive as they attempt to persuade their number one summer transfer target to leave North London behind, though Spurs remain confident the player will put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at White Hart Lane for at least another season.
