Spurs Transfers: 11 Signings Mauricio Pochettino Must Make Immediately
6. David Marshall
Current Club: Cardiff City With Brad Friedel just a few days away from his 43rd birthday, Heurelho Gomes set to leave White Hart Lane, Jordan Archer lacking in experience and not necessarily good enough, as well as the uncertainty around Hugo Lloris' future after Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League, the club could do with bringing in a new goalkeeper and they could do a lot worse than Cardiff City's David Marshall. Despite their relegation, the Bluebirds' keeper was seen by many as the Premier League stopper of the season. The Scottish international made an astonishing 153 saves in the 2013/14 campaign, making him the most active shot-stopper in the division and it was something of a surprise to see Chelsea's Petr Cech in the PFA Team of the Year - quite the compliment for a man who stood between the posts for the team who finished rock bottom. Whether Hugo Lloris looks for a way out of White Hart Lane or not, Spurs could do a lot worse than bringing the 29 year old in as support, competition, or even as a replacement for the Frenchman, as every top team has at least a couple of top goalkeepers to call on.
