The versatile Brazilian, who can operate on the wing or up front, has reportedly claimed that he wants to play "under his friend" Villas-Boas. He received two offers to leave Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer - from Chelsea and Spurs - and he has invited Villas-Boas to come in with a repeat offer. He even claimed he stays in regular contact with the Portuguese manager and thinks of him as a friend. He has scored five goals so far for Donetsk, and said of the two London rivals:
"I would love to play for either of those clubs. But my mind remains at Shakhtar."
Donetsk are said to have snubbed two Chelsea offers for the Brazilian, one in the region of £16million and another at £27million, meaning unless he can get "mates rates", Villas-Boas will have to pay over the odds to keep him out of the clutches of his former club. Source(s): Daily Mail
