Spurs Transfers: 4 Players AVB Must Sign To Qualify For Champions League

1. Joao Moutinho

mountinho It has been speculated that Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy will launch another bid for Moutinho in January* after he failed to land him at the last minute in the summer window. Tottenham are said to be "frustrated" to have lost out to the Portuguese who was earmarked as the replacement for the departing Modric.** But Levy wants to set the ball rolling for another attempt, and thinks £20million might be enough to persuade Porto to part ways. They may be reluctant to do so however, as they have qualified for the Champions League knock out stages, and losing one of their prize assets at such a pivotal time in their season is clearly far from ideal. That's why Tottenham might have to pay that little bit extra for the midfield maestro. Source(s): *The Mirror, **The Guardian
