Tottenham's top target this summer however is Internacional striker Leandro Damiao. The Brazilian has been a long-term target for Spurs, who had a £16 million offer for the 23-year-old rejected in the January transfer window. But the North Londoners aren't prepared to give up that easily with manager Andre Villas-Boas keen to boost his attacking options next season. Spurs are hoping to sign the aforementioned Roberto Soldado and Damiao for a combined fee of £36 million, say reports. Those proposed purchases would totally transform Tottenham's forward line next season and add to it a much needed injection of pace. Between them, Damiao and Soldado scored 31 league goals last season and that, along with the menacing threat Gareth Bale brings to attack, could be enough to secure Champions League football for Spurs next season. Damiao, who was one of the stand-out players from the men's football tournament at the 2012 Olympic Games, is viewed as one of the more promising up and coming youngsters in South American football.
