Spurs Transfers: 5 Deadline Day Signings Andre Villas-Boas Could Make

2. Javier Hernandez

Could Tottenham make one of the more stunning of transfers this summer by landing Manchester United's forgotten man Javier Hernandez? The Mexican, known as "Chicharito" to Red Devils fans, has been on the fringes over the last few seasons and made only 22 Premier League appearances last season and none so far this term. The 25-year-old will cost Spurs £20 million if they want to land him this summer, after the London club failed with a £15 million offer. Tottenham may have already signed Roberto Soldado from Valencia and Erik Lamela from Roma but they still need more firepower and looked short of ideas against Arsenal on Sunday. Hernandez, despite making only a scattering of appearances last season, still enjoyed good form and his strike rate was superb - 10 goals in 22 appearances - which makes the poacher an attractive option for Spurs.
