4. Not Signing Another Striker
Even with Adebayor at the club, it's arguable that Spurs could do with a fourth striker (indeed, had they sold him like they should have, they could have done with another couple). Manchester United have Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck. Manchester City have Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic. Chelsea have Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o, Demba Ba and Andre Schurrle. The White Hart Lane outfit only have Roberto Soldado, Jermain Defoe and Adebayor. Spurs were linked to the likes of the aforementioned Hernandez, David Villa, Christian Benteke and Leandro Damiao over the summer, but Roberto Soldado was the only striker they brought in. As a result, in the event of any injuries to their existing strikers, they could find themselves very short up top, just as they did last season.
