Spurs Transfers: 5 Deals Tottenham Will Regret

5. Keeping Emmanuel Adebayor

Adebayor Lazy, lackadaisical, unmotivated, lethargic, disloyal and outright greedy striker Emmanuel Adebayor is still at Spurs. A harsh description, perhaps, but certainly fair. The Togolese striker looked completely disinterested last season, despite his massive £170,000 per week earnings. Last season, Adebayor was arguably first choice striker - second behind Jermain Defoe at worst - and he still wasn't prepared to dig in and give his all. This year, he's undoubtedly the third choice behind Defoe and Roberto Soldado, so I dread to think how little effort he'll be putting in to his training and any on-pitch appearances he might make. No third choice striker should be on the wages that Adebayor is on - especially not at a club with a wage structure like Tottenham Hotspur's.
