4. Joao Moutinho
Spurs have been linked with Porto's Joao Moutinho seemingly forever now and came within a whisker of signing him last summer in a £25 million deal, which fell through because the necessary paper work didn't go through before the transfer window slammed shut, and the Portuguese star stayed put. With the aforementioned expected clear-out of his midfield set to begin at the end of the season, Villas-Boas will be freeing up plenty of room for the pass-master and looks set to delve back into the transfer market with another offer during the close-season. Tottenham have badly missed a player of the ilk of the recently-sold Luka Modric this season and Moutinho would be an able replacement. reports emerging that the player has told his club he intends to quit at the end of the season. Zenit Saint-Petersburg and several Italian clubs have also enquired about Moutinho but Villas-Boas is favourite to sign the player he worked with during his tenure coaching Porto.
