Spurs Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign

3. Giovani Lo Celso (Real Betis)

23-year-old attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been the subject of Spurs interest since the transfer window opened earlier this summer, with The Daily Star even reporting that a five-year deal is closed to being agreed.

Right now, it appears as if Real Betis are willing to sell the tricky midfielder - but only at the right price.

Le Celso brings a unique sense of flair and creativity to a team; his 16 goals in 45 games last season shows he knows where the back of the net is. Add his immense dribbling and close control, and Spurs would have a player who offers an array of options to their midfield and wide positions.

With Spurs target Paulo Dybala now looking increasingly likely to head to Manchester United as part of a swap deal that will see Romelu Lukaku head to Juventus, that could well be the extra impetus for Spurs to go hard in their pursuit of Le Celso.

Given the continued uncertainty over Christian Eriksen, Mauricio Pochettino is clearly weighing up adding another attacking midfielder to his options - and fellow Argentinian Lo Celso seems like a deal that Spurs could get over the line should they be willing to meet Real Betis' reported €75 million valuation of the playmaker.
