Spurs Transfers: 5 Realistic Targets For Andre Villas-Boas

1. Leandro Damião

Leandro Damiao Tottenham's No.1 transfer target this summer however is Internacional's Leandro Damião. The Brazilian international has been a long-term target for Spurs, who came close to signing him in January but failed with their dramatic deadline day bid. And Villas-Boas hopes to try again this summer by making an improved offer for the 23-year old, who has excelled for his country at U23 level and at last summer's Olympic Games. The youngster has also been capped 16 times for the senior Brazilian side, scoring 3 times, while he has also netted 28 goals in 72 overall appearances for Internacional to date. And it is for these reasons why Villas-Boas wants the Samba Star to move to White Hart Lane to ease some of the goal-scoring burden currently being shouldered by Gareth Bale, and to also provide him with added cover should Jermain Defoe break down with injury again. Spurs would need to increase their failed offer of £16 million made in January to land the star, but Damião would be one of the best signing Villas-Boas could make this summer. Who do you think Tottenham should sign this summer? Let us know in the comment section, below.
