1. Goals, Goals, Goals
One thing that Roberto Soldado absolutely guarantees is goals. His record speaks for itself; Last season, he scored 30 goals in 46 competitive games for Valencia - with 24 of those coming in the league - taking his overall tally for the club to 80 in 146 games, which is better than one every two games. In each of the last four years, he's scored at least 20 competitive goals a season and no less than 16 league goals in each of those campaigns. In 11 appearances for Spain, he's scored 6 goals. Spurs have got themselves a finisher. Had they bought Soldado last year, surely he would have earned them more than the two extra points they required to finish fourth in the league. With the additional purchases of Paulinho and Chadli, he will surely help them to a top four finish this year (even if Bale goes, given that his sale will give them the cash to make several more top purchases).
