Stoke 3-5 Liverpool: Premier League Player Ratings

Liverpool

Simon Mignolet: Beaten three times here, but could do nothing about any of them. The lack of pace at centre back is a concern going forward. 5/10. Glen Johnson: Showed Arnautovic inside, but Austrian made a goal for Crouch. 4.5/10. Kolo Toure: Not tight to Crouch when Stoke pulled one back. 4.5/10. Martin Skrtel: Adam shot went through his legs for the Potters' equalizer. 4.5/10. Aly Cissokho: His speculative shot deflected in off Shawcross to give the Reds the lead. Booked for foul on Adam. 5/10. Jordan Henderson: Poor play allowed Adam to smash in an equalizer, but offered much more in midfield than all of Stoke's players. 5.5/10. Steven Gerrard: Slipped at a vital moment in the build-up to Adam's leveller, but redeemed that with a coolly dispatched penalty. 5.5/10. Lucas Leiva: Not a day for holding midfielders. 5/10. Raheem Sterling: Went down under minimal contact from Wilson, but did virtually nothing else here. Rodgers should have a word as Sterling practically dived to win the penalty. 5/10. Luis Suarez: Our man of the match. Nipped in to score Liverpool's second. Got away with handling in the box and then netted a second when set up by Sturridge. That's 22 in the Premier League now and assisted the five goal too. 7.5/10. Philippe Coutinho: Peripheral and drew one reaction stop from Butland. Subbed. 5/10. Subs: Daniel Sturridge: Came off the bench to make Suarez's second goal and then scored himself at the second attempt to seal victory. Good to see Sturridge back both for club and country. 6.5/10.
