Sunderland 0-2 Hull: Player Ratings
Sunderland
Vito Mannone: The young keeper continues to impress after pulling off a string of fine saves to ensure the game didn't turn into a rout. His save immediately prior to Hull's opening goal was particularly noteworthy. He must surely be considered as a serious contender for the No.1 jersey at Arsenal next season. No chance for either goal. 7/10 Phil Bardsley: A woeful back pass from the right back led to Brown's early dismissal. Failed to produce the confident displays he has turned in of late and looked tired. A game to forget for the full back. 3/10 John O'Shea: The elder statesmen of the team marshalled his troops well after his partner's early dismissal. Unfortunately he struggled to keep up with Long's pace and movement throughout. 5/10 Wes Brown: A red card within the first two minutes for the ex Utd defender left his team on the back foot. It was an extremely poor tackle and he was fortunate that he didn't concede a penalty. 1/10 Marcos Alonso: The Spaniard has enjoyed a good start to his Sunderland career however he was extremely poor today. He frequently found himself exposed on the flank and struggled to stifle the runs and crosses of Rosenoir and Elmohamady. 4/10 Read on for Sunderland's midfield and attackers...
