Paolo Di Canio is the bookmaker's favourite to succeed Martin O'Neill as Sunderland manager following his impressive stint with Swindon. The former Lazio, Juventus and AC Milan frontman won the npower League Two championship last year in his first ever season in management, and is on the lookout for a new club after resigning from his post in February after growing disillusioned with boardroom goings-on at the County Ground. However, it should be noted that the tattoo'd Italian has not managed a club in England's top two divisions, and putting their Premier League survival hopes in the hands of a man with such little experience is viewed as a risky move by Sunderland in some quarters. Never-the-less, he is currently the favourite to become next Sunderland boss.
