7. Sandro (QPR)
Sandro is
one of the latest links to Wearside, and while it will probably transpire that it's all just paper talk, there's plenty of evidence to suggest the Brazilian midfielder could be on the way out of QPR. High wages, Championship football; it's easy to see why they may want to part with a player who enjoyed some very decent moments with Spurs before his switch to Loftus Road. The 26-year-old may be a defensive-minded midfielder, one area that Sunderland are actually secure with Lee Cattermole and Yann M'Vila, but the problem so far this season has been the lack of a third midfielder. Recent partners for M'Vila and Cattermole have included Jordi 'Sluggish' Gomez, Jack 'Anonymous' Rodwell, Ola 'The Ent' Toivonen, and Liam 'WHY?' Bridcutt. None of them have been effective (bar the occasional glimmer of quality from Toivonen) and while Sandro wouldn't offer a phenomenal attacking threat, he would contribute to a rock solid midfield trio.
