Wayne Ronney will be hoping to use the remaining games of this season to show the fans and his manger why he deserves a place in the United team. After being dropped for United's crucial Champions League game against Real Madrid, rumours began to circulate that Rooney would leave Old Trafford in the Summer. Rooney has responded to this speculation, by producing arguably his best form of the season so far and scoring in both of the games he has played since being dropped. He also scored twice for England last weekend in the games against San Marino and Montenegro. When Wayne Rooney is at his best, he can cause serious problems for even the best defenses in the world. Sunderland's defenders will have to be at their very best if they want to stop Rooney and Martin O' Neil may even consider adoptingdifferent tactics to try and stop him getting on the ball. On current form, if Sunderland allow Rooney even the slightest of chances, they will be severely punished. If they fail to recognise the treat posed by Rooney, then they may as well say goodbye to any chance of taking something from this game.
