Sunderland's 2006/07 Promotion Squad - Where Are They Now?

CB - Nyron Nosworthy

The beloved Nyron Nosworthy was voted the club's Player of the Season in 2006/07, a reflection of his highly improved performances and versatility - capable of playing either at right back or centre back. He remained at Sunderland until 2012, but found himself out of favour under new boss Steve Bruce, and was allowed to go on loan at Sheffield United and Watford. Nosworthy eventually moved to Watford permanently, and his impressive performances there saw him called up to the Jamaica national team (for whom he now has 14 caps). Injury cut his season short, and unimpressive spells at Bristol City, Blackpool and Portsmouth followed. Nyron has recently signed a one year deal with London-based League 2 side Dagenham & Redbridge.
