Super Bowl LIV Full Preview And Prediction

1. Final Prediction For The Big Game

It’s readily clear that this year’s Super Bowl is far from easy to predict. Considering the quality of teams playing on February 2nd, there’s plenty of potential X factors that could decide the game.

Whether or not the Kansas City Chiefs can stop the run will surely be a major factor to their success. Conversely, how Richard Sherman and the San Francisco 49ers defense handles the aerial wizardy of Patrick Mahomes will be important to keep an eye on as well.

Throw in stars like George Kittle, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and Nick Bosa, and there’s plenty of players who could end up having a huge impact on whether or not each team can maintain their advantage on offense or defense.

There’s one person yet to be discussed though that could play an even bigger role than all of those superstars come Super Bowl LIV, Andy Reid.

For those unaware of the credentials the Chiefs head coach brings, he’s one of only eight coaches in NFL history to have 200 career wins. That puts him in company with legends like Don Shula, Bill Belichick, and Tom Landry. He also led the Philadelphia Eagles to five NFC Championship games, and a Super Bowl.

He’s truly one of the all-time greats. It just so happens that despite all those achievements, a win in the Super Bowl has eluded him.

This year could be Reid’s last chance at a Lombardi Trophy. You simply can never tell when it comes to things like that. With so many wanting him to get the victory that firmly caps off his Hall of Fame resume then, expect Andy Reid’s presence to be felt in this game.

With that being said, it may take all of Reid’s coaching skills to help Mahomes and company take down the 49ers, but ultimately it still seems like the safest bet.

While the 49ers could easily jump to an early lead thanks to their bruising ground game, the Chiefs should be able to respond in kind thanks to Mahomes extraordinary playmaking abilities and Reid’s expert guidance and leadership. Those intangibles may be all that separates these two elite teams in what should be a very close contest.

Expect a high scoring affair, albeit one with great defense, that ultimately ends with the Kansas City Chiefs at the pinnacle of the NFL for the first time since Super Bowl IV.

Final Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs - 34 San Francisco 49ers - 30
