Swansea 2-3 Man City: Premier League Player Ratings
Yaya Toure: Restored City's lead with a deflected effort. Strong in the tackle to win the ball back from Canas before scoring. Toure is the complete midfield player, but misses out on the plaudits here to the shift Bony put in up top for Swansea. 6.5/10. Samir Nasri: Booked for bringing down Angel Rangel. Subbed and later seen with an ice pack on the hamstring. Could well be another casualty of the congested festive fixture list. David Silva or James Milner will deputize if Nasri is injured. 5/10. Alvaro Negredo: Nothing quite came off for the Spanish striker here. Negredo is perhaps suffering a little from the absence of Sergio Aguero. Everyone loves a big man, little man combination up front. Subbed. 5/10. Edin Dzeko: Shot wide early on and later had a deflected effort off Chico. Booked for dissent. Big Bosnian is not doing enough to suggest he will keep a fit Aguero out of the XI. 5/10. Subs: Javi Garcia: Brought on for half an hour to tighten things up in midfield. Garcia is a crushingly steady midfield player that lacks the attributes or mobility of the Fernandinho and Toure partnership. 5/10. James Milner: Thrown on for 20 minutes to shore City up further. Booked for kicking the ball away. Rating N/A. Jack Rodwell: Got on for just a few minutes. Rating N/A. Who was your man of the match? Have your say below.
