Swansea Transfer News: Wilfried Bony Deal Agreed

Team Talk. The 24-year old has been linked with a string of Premier League teams including Newcastle, Sunderland and Arsenal but Swans manager Michael Laudrup has moved a step closer towards landing the in-demand Ivorian, who has just enjoyed a remarkable season in Holland. Laudrup has made buying a new forward one of his top priorities this summer as he looks to ease some of the goal-scoring burden on Michu, who was the club's leading goalscorer last season. Bony's agent, Francis Kacou, has claimed his client is on the verge of a move to the Liberty Stadium, with only minor details to be finalised. "Bony will go to Swansea," Kacou told Dutch newspaper de Gelderlander.

"For how many years? We still have to work out that part. Hopefully more will be clear today."
The Welsh club are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of ‚12million (£10.2million) for the highly-rated striker, who finished last season as the Netherland's top scorer. The star notched an astonishing 31 goals in 32 league games, helping his side to finish fourth in the Eredivisie. That near-perfect goal haul included two hat-tricks - against Heerenveen and Heracles - and a run where he scored 15 goals over 10 consecutive matches. He has hit 51 goals in 66 games since signing from Sparta Prague in 2011 for a bargain £4 million.
