3. Leyton Orient
Carlisle 1-5 Leyton Orient
What a start to the campaign for Leyton Orient this was! Russell Slades men finished last season just outside the play offs and if this display is anything to go by they could be aiming for a similar finish this time around. Carlisle had a nightmare start with newly appointed captain Lee Miller seeing red for a foul on Nathan Clarke early on. The Os took the lead on 27 minutes through last seasons top scorer Kevin Lisbie before Scott Cuthbert headed home to make it 2-0. Carlisle did however manage to grab a consolation and a glimmer of hope before the break when David Amoo netted a penalty. Orient were ruthless second half, David Mooney scoring first to make it 3-1 before a late brace from substitute Dean Cox made it 5.
