The Big Kick Off: 5 Teams Who Impressed On The Opening Day

3. Leyton Orient

Carlisle 1-5 Leyton Orientleyton 2 What a start to the campaign for Leyton Orient this was! Russell Slade€™s men finished last season just outside the play offs and if this display is anything to go by they could be aiming for a similar finish this time around. Carlisle had a nightmare start with newly appointed captain Lee Miller seeing red for a foul on Nathan Clarke early on. The O€™s took the lead on 27 minutes through last season€™s top scorer Kevin Lisbie before Scott Cuthbert headed home to make it 2-0. Carlisle did however manage to grab a consolation and a glimmer of hope before the break when David Amoo netted a penalty. Orient were ruthless second half, David Mooney scoring first to make it 3-1 before a late brace from substitute Dean Cox made it 5.
