Raheem Sterling by name and sterling by nature, the pacy winger's big money move from Liverpool to Manchester City in 2015, was highly publicised and highly controversial.

He had nearly won the league with the Reds the year prior but it seemed for a while that Sterling would end up being an expensive flop after a disappointing first season at the Etihad, which culminated in England's embarrassing defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016.

Since the arrival of Guardiola, Sterling has developed into one of finest forwards in the game, with his speed, dribbling, positioning and clinical finishing key to his success.

Two league titles, four domestic cups, 112 goals in all. At just 25 Sterling has already achieved so much. And he has put to bed his demons on the international stage, reaching the World Cup and Nations League semi-finals and scoring eight goals during Euro 2020 qualifying.

An inspiration on and off the pitch, the 2014 Golden Boy winner's stand against racism has earned admirers from fans and former professionals alike. Is he the man to lead England to glory at a major tournament? Let's wait and see...
