One of only two men to have beaten Carl Froch and the man that is considered the best super middleweight on the planet. Andre Ward scored a unanimous decision over the Cobra in December 2011, but has, amazingly, only fought twice since then due to injury and a dispute with his management. Froch has gone on to win five straight fights in the same time and build his reputation up to the extent that many believe he deserves a rematch with the American. The first fight ended in a clear victory for Ward, but such has been his inactivity and so impressive has Froch generally been since the loss, that some would be picking the Englishman to win the rematch. The two men are undoubtedly the top super middleweights in the world today, as such, this is the biggest fight that can be made in the division. It would easily fulfil Frochs dreams of headlining a show in Las Vegas and it would earn him plenty of money. The only thing that could hold him back is if the Cobra does not truly believe he can succeed where he failed in the past. Ward is a fabulous fighter and if Froch does not think he can beat him then he will probably not bother trying, even if he will receive a huge pay cheque.
