I've always felt that Mike Easton was underrated. His boxing has always been crisp, along with his ability to change levels in an instant. What his issue tends to be is what some Jiu-Jitsu based fighters deal with. They allow their opponents to come forward and present themselves in attack mode. The Jiu-Jitsu based fighter will look for openings to counter the attack on most occasions. There aren't always openings though, yet they still tend to rely on attacking off the counter. That has been Easton's problem over the three fight losing skid. Yves Jabouin is a dangerous striker, who likes to press the action. If Easton isn't careful, he could very well see a repeat of his loss against T.J Dillashaw. He wasn't able to execute much, due to constant pressure and volume striking from Dillashaw. Jabouin isn't as technical as Dillashaw as a striker. He relies more on pressure, which can still be detrimental to Easton. This could very well be a win or go home situation for a once promising bantamweight contender.
