In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Carlos Condit was quick to praise his opponent while expressing his thanks at being able to fight for a living and stating how much he loves his job. However, once he got backstage his attitude had seemingly changed a bit, as he said that he's considering hanging up his 4 oz. gloves. When asked what's next in store, Carlos responded by saying "I might be done. I don't know." Hopefully this was just the emotion and frustration of putting it all on the line and coming so close, losing a fight he clearly thought he should have won, but Dana White confirmed that Condit had spoken of retirement prior to the fight taking place. In the post-fight press conference, when asked to clarify his comments, Carlos said that he's not being emotional nor does he feel dejected but that he needs to evaluate things and that it might have been his last one. His words say that he's not upset over the result, but his face and body language seriously contradicted that message. If Carlos Condit does decide to call it a career, he's got nothing to be ashamed of. He's always brought it when he's stepped in the cage and has been among the elites of the sport for the majority of his time. It'll be a tremendous blow to the sport and a huge loss for the fans who will be deprived of any future Condit classics, but if it's what he feels is right for he and his family I wish him all the best and salute him for the all the entertainment. UFC 195 was an incredible night for the sport and will be one for the record books; a main event title fight that will be remembered long after both men ride off into the sunset. If you're a fan and you missed it, make it a point to watch it as soon as possible, and if you're not a fan, watch it anyway and I guarantee you'll become one.
