3. Roberto Di Matteo
Could Roberto Di Matteo make a sensational return to his former club? Di Matteo hasn't worked in football management since being sacked by Chelsea last year and is a free agent, making his potential appointment as Clarke's successor one of the less complicated of possible options. Fans would also like to see the Italian back in charge, given that he brought success to the club between 2009-11, guiding the Baggies out of the Championship and to Premier League promotion in his first season in charge. Di Matteo also oversaw Albion's best start in a Premier League season on record, and was named Premier League Manager of the Month for September 2010. He was ultimately relieved of his duties at the Hawthorns however in 2011 after a poor string of results, but went on to win the FA Cup and Champions League with Chelsea. Of the list of potential candidates for the next West Brom manager, Di Matteo arguably has the brightest CV, in that he has managed at the very highest levels of the game. But will the Baggies take him back for a second stint in charge?
