West Ham: 5 Managerial Replacements For Sam Allardyce

4. Neil Lennon

Celtic's Neil Lennon is also in the frame for the West Ham job should the vacancy arise, with the Northern Irishman considered fourth favourite for the job by bookmakers. Lennon is in a comfortable position at present in that Celtic have won the Scottish Premier League on two of the last occasions, and are the SPL's dominant team in the wake of Ranger's plights. However, with challengers for Celtic's crown virtually none existent, Lennon may well feel it is time for a new challenge by moving to the Premier League. The English Premier League is a completely different ball game to the SPL and the opportunity to test himself as a higher level may appeal, and his experiences of playing in England with the likes of Manchester City, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest could stand him in good stead. An untested manager in England's topflight, his appointment would however represent something of a risk.
